Our coffee menu includes espresso, Americano, latte, cappuccino, mocha and drip – all made with freshly ground, fairly traded and organic coffee beans roasted for us in St John’s. We have a full range of speciality teas, organic hot chocolate, home-made organic lemonade, Elderflower spritzers, a small range of mostly organic red and white wines, Quidi Vidi beers and fruit juices. We also offer iced teas and coffees.
We serve a light lunch menu, influenced by what is available seasonally – typically, a choice of two soups with a selection of home-made breads, an extensive list of paninis, with a salad of locally grown greens and our famous coleslaw. We also often feature ‘daily specials’. Our chutneys and preserves are made in the Two Whales kitchen from local berries and vegetables. We have a dessert and cake cabinet for those with a sweet tooth, including regular favorites such as our Humpback Brownies, Carrot Cake or Lime and Coconut Sponge. All of our menu items are vegetarian, soups are always gluten free and usually dairy free, we have gluten free bread options and usually at least five gluten free cakes. We also strive to have a vegan cake on board, but at busy times may need to be alerted to your needs in advance.
