About Trinity Bight
Trinity Bight is rich in history. Trinity is one of the oldest settlements in North America and is a prime Heritage Site in Newfoundland. Trinity welcomes visitors to its reconstructed forge, plantation and Heritage Centre. In the evenings the renowned Theatre in the Bight presents a variety of plays. If you feel more energetic you can kick your heels at the ‘Dance Up’ at Rocky’s Place.
Local restaurants serve traditional Newfoundland fayre like partridge berry pie, fish and brewis and fresh seafood, The Village Inn also serves vegetarian dishes. If you want more time with the whales you can book trips with Ocean Contact (at the Village Inn) or Atlantic Adventures (at the Dock Marina).
Beyond the Bight you can explore the Bonavista Peninsula. Bonavista claims to be the landing place of John Cabot – the first European to discover North America. For more information on the region visit www.trinitybight.com and www.gov.nf.ca/tourism/.
