About Two Whales
Two Whales Retreats emerged from a blending of philosophies, skills and friendship between the two of us. As do-ers we share a common quest - the ability to slow down and be. In realising that we have managed to find ways of balancing these two aspects, do-ing and be-ing, we decided the time has come to share these skills with others and add in some life pointers which will help on the path to greater fulfillment and a discovery of right living.
We believe everyone can make a difference. Small adjustments to our lifestyle can have a huge impact on our lives and on the earth. Life is challenging and, with our response to that challenge, comes responsibility. For us this is about bringing spirituality into each aspect of our daily lives. This doesn't necessarily mean spending large parts of the day practicing Tai-Chi exercises! Rather it is a committment to use our spirituality to inform our living and seeing the world as a reflection of ourselves. Choose local. Choose organic. Choose Fair Trade. Walk more.Talk less.
This is where Two Whales comes in - opening up new routes to discovering spirituality, exploring what is going on inside ourselves and earthing that knowledge in the day to day.
What made us think we could run a retreat? We are not saints - we drink wine (good, organic of course!), we eat chocolate and sometimes fall out with each other (its true!). We love what we do and put our hearts into our work. To us Two Whales is not strictly a business activity, it is our way of sharing things we find useful.
We take a hands on approach to life. We renovate our own homes, fix our own cars, make our own bread, sort out our website and run our own businesses - with a little help from our friends of course - Thank You, especially to Rachael for the website and Geraint for his ideas, photos and love. From the philosophy to the Tai-Chi, from whale trips to baking muffins, we've been there and done it.
