Regular flights operate into St John’s airport from the USA, Canada and Europe. Ferries operate from Nova Scotia to several ports in Newfoundland.
 

Getting to the Retreat

lobster pots at Peace CoveCar hire is readily available in St John’s or you can take advantage of one of the islands Taxi-bus services, which run from St John’s to the Bonavista Peninsula every day, leaving St John’s around mid-day. The return journey arrives in St John's at around midday. The taxi-bus operators will pick you up from your hotel and drop you at the Peace Cove Inn. We have used Marsh’s Taxis many times and always found them to be helpful; fares in 2004 were CAN$25. Their contact number is 709 7472225 in St John’s and 709 468 7715 in Bonavista.

Take the Transcanadian Highway and exit onto the 230A from the east or the 233 from the west, to Clarenville and from there take the 230 towards Bonavista. Allow about 3.5 hours for the road journey from St John’s.

from Peace Cove across Trinity HarbourFor accommodation in Trinity leave the 230, turning right for Trouty, Dunfield and Trinity; the left-hand turnoff to Trinity is about 2K along this road. Follow the road directly into Trinity.

For Peace Cove Inn and the Sherwood Suites continue past the Trinity turn for 2K and at the Foodstop take the right-hand turning to Port Rexton and Trinity East. Follow this road - the Sherwood Suites as on the right and further on past the harbour is the Peace Cove Inn.
